Our client, a well-known entertainment company, is looking for a Product Designer to join their team for a 12-month contract. This position will be hybrid and based out of the Glendale office.
Responsibilities:
Design original, useful and elegant digital experiences for guests and Cast Members of Disney Parks and Resorts
Apply a broad range of capabilities (discovery & strategy, architecture, wireframing, full UX design, and validation) on digital product design from concept through execution and final implementation
Partner with other designers and collaborate with cross-functional teams - including product management, technology and consumer insights - to take work from ideation to reality
Interpret, infuse and leverage our unique brands and properties to deliver on high expectations from our guests
Support the design team as we communicate our product design recommendations to our cross-functional leadership team by delivering sketches, wireframes, design specifications, compositions, and prototypes
Use excellent visual, communication and storytelling skills to represent the product design process with stakeholders.
Research & discovery, interaction design, functional prototypes, polished design specifications, and documentation for guest-facing and cast-facing web applications
Work closely with a Design Lead and dedicated Sr Product Designer to execute the team's shared design vision on a set schedule
Presentation of design concepts and solutions to design team leadership to secure required approvals
Required Qualifications:
2-3 years of industry experience operating as an end-to-end multidisciplinary product designer, possessing solid capabilities across a range of design disciplines
1+ years experience working on an in-house design team
Experience with premium brands including e-commerce
Defining and utilizing qualitative and quantitative data to inform and inspire design
Capability to build interactive prototypes
Experience solving complex interaction design problems a big plus (e.g. enterprise or similar)
Mid+ level competency with Figma & FigJam
Experience creating detailed wireframes and design specifications
Knowledge of design thinking strategies (Jobs to be Done, object maps, discovery & research methods, etc)
