SUMMARY

The Senior Director, Residential Clinical Services will oversee the delivery of patient care at Phoenix House Florida Residential facility. This position is responsible for the hiring of new staff, overall clinical services, and preparing the clinical department budget. This position administers an efficient and accountable range of medical, social, and supportive services that are consistent with the mission of the organization and responsive to the requirements of patients and vendors.

The Senior Director, Residential Clinical Services is also responsible for ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations. Senior Director, Residential Clinical Services also works closely with other members of the management team to ensure that the overall quality of care meets the standards set by the organization. In this role, you will lead a team to look after clients and ensure that programs and processes are being followed to provide the best outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversees, plans, organizes, and directs agency direct care programs and services for Phoenix House Florida Residential facility.
• Recruits, selects, and evaluates Clinical Managers under direct supervision.
• Convenes regular meetings with Clinical Managers, and administrative staff to bridge the needs of the programs and administrative support and resources.
• Participates and leads Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) committees and forums and serves in leadership capacity when appropriate to represent the Phoenix House Florida, Residential facility.
• Work with the CQI team to track and analyze trends for adverse incidents and implement action plans to address areas of concern and report to senior management.
• Assures all agency direct care personnel are trained in required areas including 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality, HIPAA, Crisis Intervention and in reporting of adverse incidents.
• Plan and manage the budget for the residential clinical department.
• Participates in, or provides representation on, the comprehensive review team audit activities, including CARF and various audits from funding organizations.
• Implements and oversees the fulfillment of corrective actions and quality initiatives identified through the CQI process.
• Expansion of clinical services throughout the residential program(s) to include designing and implementing business strategies to help the organization achieve business goals.
• Develops and maintains strategic relationships with individuals, community groups and organizations crucial to the fulfillment of the Agency's mission.
• Practices safety on-the job at all times.
• Adhere to all Phoenix Programs of Florida, Inc policies and procedures.
• Ensure program quality and integrity through the effective compliance of contracting and licensing agency established guidelines.
• Participate in Phoenix Programs of Florida, Inc. staff meetings and training exercises as directed.
• Represent Phoenix Programs of Florida, Inc. in court, interagency meetings, and community affairs as required.
• Perform duties as assigned by the COSO.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 10-15 years of professional experience in clinical counseling and 10+ years of management experience.
• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or other health or human services-related field required.
• Current licensure in the State of Florida (LCSW, LMHC, Etc.) is required.
• Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) certification strongly preferred. Knowledge of emotional and physical needs of clients.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.
• Ability to establish appropriate boundaries and non-possessive, professional relationships with all clients in treatment, including former clients served.
• Working knowledge and ability to apply effective crisis intervention techniques.
• Working knowledge of commonly prescribed anti-depressants, anti-anxiety agents, and commonly used psychotropic medications.
• Working knowledge of therapy approaches for substance abuse clients.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Must possess excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers and the general public and to use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Ability to take a teamwork approach to the job by cooperating with others, offering to help others when needed, and considering larger organization or team goals rather than individual concerns. This includes the ability to help build a constructive team spirit where team members are committed to the goals and objectives of the team.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to multi-task managing multiple facilities to include travel within the state of Florida.
• Versed in the use MS Office and data management applications.
• Versed in the use of Electronic Medical Records including running reports and data analysis.
• Recognized as a leader in the community.
• Experience in business management.
• Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record (6 points or less) required.
• Maintain required continuing education specifically related to any certification or license held, Phoenix Programs of Florida, Inc. requirements, and regulatory and licensing agency requirements.
