About the Role:

Fine Fettle is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) for our dispensary to assist the General Manager (GM) in managing and running store operations. The AGM manages the various teams within the store in order to ensure efficient and accurate operations. AGM duties include supporting the GM with scheduling workflow, training store employees, improving store culture, and achieving the store's highest priority goals.

The ideal person for this role has experience managing teams and operations in fast-paced retail environments. Success in this role requires a combination of leadership and management skills, able to eagerly participate in day-to-day work alongside staff without losing sight of the store's most important goals. The most effective candidates in this role will be able to identify faults in store operations through operational and data analysis, and to effectuate change for continuous process improvement.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist GM to ensure that store operations are running smoothly and highest level store goals are being achieved
  • Manage team leads across the dispensary, including leadership in back-of-house, front-of-house, and sales floor
  • Ensure in coordination with Purchasing team that inventory purchasing and management in the store is being run efficiently and effectively
  • Oversee store activities to foster a strong culture and sustain a high level of team morale
  • Coordinate with GM to ensure that goals and key projects are achieved within budgetary constraints
  • Recruit and train store employees
  • Responsible in coordination with GM for the development of store staff, administrating performance evaluations and periodic reviews, authorizing promotions, and terminating employees as needed
  • Evaluate KPIs and store data to identify areas of improvement and accordingly effectuate changes to operations
  • Identify infrastructure, technical, or equipment repair needs in store on a regular basis
  • Develop in coordination with GM the store's strategic goals that drive high-level business outcomes, and ensure that operational activities are designed to further them
  • Delegate work to employees and manage in order to ensure it is being executed in an effective and timely manner

Skills/Qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • 3-5 years background in retail or business management
  • Experience leading and managing diverse customer-facing teams
  • Cannabis market experience preferred but not required

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
