Job Description:

Specialty Appliances is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to drive multiple project initiatives to completion. We are a long established, rapidly growing manufacturer of orthodontic appliances and have multiple initiatives pushing productivity improvement, business process automation, and system/software upgrades and implementation. We need an experienced Project Manager to develop project plans to ensure that project resources are designated, budgets are prepared, progress is monitored, and stakeholders are kept informed the entire way.

In this role, you will...
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Utilize or adapt a proven project management methodology
  • Employ proven project management tools to produce successful results
  • Predict and identify resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Track project resources to manage/report what they are working on, who is responsible for what, and when is it due
  • Develop, maintain, and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project updates on a regular basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Manage contracts and relationships with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and tracking/communicating expected deliverables
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Successfully manage multiple projects at one time, often with competing priorities for resources

In this role, you'll need to have...
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of project management and related experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • 4+ years experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proven success working with all levels of management
  • Proven success working with resources from multiple departments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
