Tito's Handmade Vodka is seeking a Health Safety Environmental (HSE) Manager. This position will directly manage the Safety Department and oversee all aspects of a company's safety, health, and environmental compliance. The HSE Manager will further develop existing protocols and collaborate with leaders across the production facility to create new policies and procedures to continuously improve safety, health, and environmental aspects of production. The HSE Manager is considered a Senior Manager and will provide input ranging from new equipment, manufacturing workflows, facility improvement, training programs, and organizational strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive environmental safety & health programs.
  • Ensure industry leading HSE practices are monitored, adopted when appropriate, and implemented properly.
  • Maintain and continuously update Emergency Action Plan (EAP); serve as primary contact for injury and incident notification, and investigation.
  • Continuously assess hazards and update OSHA and site-specific Process Hazard Analyses and Risk Registers
  • As the overall OSHA subject matter expert ensure all processes and workflows adhere to OSHA and other regulatory guidelines
  • Define and communicate safety requirements and supervise site-specific contractor orientations.
  • Manage the Safety Department and ensure all programs and responsibilities assigned to the department are properly planned, coordinated, executed, and documented.
  • Collaborate with management team to review and adapt Emergency Action Plan (EAP); serve as primary contact for injury and incident notification, and investigation.
  • Audit programs and processes to ensure compliance; inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
  • Advise the project management team on health and safety and ensure projects conform to industry, local, state, and federal guidelines, and regulations.
  • Investigate and coordinate accident/incident response; analyze root-cause; facilitate lessons-learned.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and insurance.
  • Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow-up assessments.
  • Maintain a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
  • Participate in the development and ongoing improvement of EHS training programs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Field of study preferred: Engineering, Chemistry, Occupational H&S, HSE.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Safety/HSE Manager for large manufacturing facility.
  • Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Current BCSP-recognized safety certifications appropriate for HSE manager role
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and other business software platforms
  • Experience in Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
  • Experience developing new HSE programs and facilitating audits.
