Job Description:

A thriving and growing construction company in Ridgefield, Washington is seeking a full-time Equipment Shop Coordinator to join our team with potential for advancement and growth with the company.

Primary Function: Under the direction of the Shop Manager, the Equipment Shop Coordinator will work with both the equipment shop and trucking department to efficiently and timely process transactions in support of the business. This role requires the ability to clearly communicate with all areas of the business including the Shop Manager, Trucking Manager, Mechanics, Accounting Team, Project Personnel, and 3rd Party vendors. This role will work closely with projects to ensure service and repairs are completed through maintaining detailed correspondence and documentation throughout the repair and maintenance process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to management of equipment files and records, trucking department billings and administrative support, maintain fleet DOT and licensing requirements, manage department score card for shop and trucking, support equipment acquisition and disposal recordkeeping, manage truck permitting requirements, manage and maintain driver files, maintain equipment master files, and other various duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support shop initiatives in the repair and maintenance of equipment, reducing unscheduled repairs and increasing up time through PM compliance.
  • Manage and maintain all equipment files and records in accordance with company policy.
  • Coordinate maintenance needs with Shop Manager, Mechanics and 3 party vendors.
  • Utilize asset management system (Deltek/ComputerEase) to keep equipment cost and usage records accurate and to assist with overall PM process.
  • Manage all DOT and state licensing requirements and reporting.
  • Support Shop Manager in accurate equipment costing and budget management.
  • Assist Fleet Team with all equipment acquisitions and disposals.
  • Trucking department project support and administration.
  • Weekly trucking department billings.
  • Telematics Management.

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Prior experience with equipment and maintenance preferred.
  • Strong organizational, time management and communications skills.
  • Experience and/or ability to work with accounting on equipment costing and budget tracking.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Heavy Equipment knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Deltek/ComputerEase experience a plus.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1+ years relevant experience required.
  • All candidates must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
