The Client (Group 36) develops resilient, integrated missile defense solutions through threat characterization, advanced technology development, prototyping, and testing. Our work is critical to the defense of the United States, deployed forces, and allies from missile attacks.
This group performs detailed system and component engineering, flight and ground test analysis, and advanced capability development in collaboration with the contractors and government program offices that are developing the missile defense elements and components.
Group 36 is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to work as part of a collaborative, and dynamic team of system administrators.
The ideal candidate has an advanced understanding of Linux (RedHat/CentOS), has worked in an enterprise grade environment, and is eager to learn and grow in other areas as well.
This role will work alongside Group 36 system administrators to provide Linux server and desktop support.
This role will work with the infrastructure team to grow and expand our existing capabilities.

Required Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Linux systems administration (RedHat preferred)
Strong understanding of scripting languages (bash, python, perl etc.)
Experience with enterprise services such as NFS, email, web servers, DNS, storage, patch management, configuration management, etc.
Understanding of network principals
Strong troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with VMWare or other virtualization platforms
Familiarity with Linux automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
Familiarity with Microsoft services such as Active Directory
BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
A strong technical background to include technical training, IT/IA certifications and at least 5 years of related experience in related technical fields may be substituted for a degree.
The following technical certifications must be obtained within 6 months of being hired: o Security+ o Linux+
Desired Skills:
Experience implementing Department of Defense security requirements such as OS/application hardening, STIG compliance.
Experience with operating air-gapped infrastructure is a big plus.
Experience with ACAS/Tenable.SC, Trellix/McAfee ePO and other cybersecurity tools.
Understanding of enterprise storage solutions (NetApp preferred)
Experience with UNIX operating systems (Solaris is a plus)
Experience with database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL preferred)
