Our client, an A-rated E&S Insurance Carrier, has been experiencing tremendous growth within their Excess and Surplus Casualty Underwriting Division and is seeking to add a Senior Commercial E&S Casualty Underwriting Specialist. This person would be responsible for both new and renewal business within their preferred region/territory. This role will consist of growing a profitable non-admitted book of business focused on Primary Casualty (General Liability) accounts. Client would prefer the candidate to be located in Georgia, Illinois, Arizona, North Carolina, Texas, Connecticut, or Virginia,
Responsible for developing and managing a book of Non-Admitted Primary Casualty business.
Underwrite and produce profitable business within the authority granted and consistent with company goals.
Maintain agency relationships, develop new relationships and contribute where possible to the company's goals and objectives.
Effectively express information and ideas clearly through spoken, written, and electronic means.
Work with local, regional, and home office management to renew accounts annually.
Executing on marketing strategy including Client & Broker relations - sales calls and in-person meetings.
Ability to successfully negotiate on all levels with both internal and external partners and nurture key producer relations.
Requirements:
7 - 15+ plus years of E&S Commercial Casualty Underwriting experience
5+ years of experience working with wholesale brokers in a defined region
Proven track record of building strong Broker Relations
Strong communication, analytical skills, and business acumen
Excellent problem solving & decision-making skills
Bachelor's Degree is strongly desired.
Salary/Benefits:
$160,000 to $200,000+ annual base salary plus 10 - 30% Target Bonus
