POSITION TITLE: Environmental Permitting Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Environmental Permitting Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the environmental permitting process for our renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and permitting requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Environmental Permitting, and provide support directly to Galehead's Project Development team.
  • Serve as the first resource of the Development Team, utilizing personal experience, expertise, and relationships to quickly assess the environmental risk projects will sustain through the development, construction and operations cycle.
  • Lead the environmental permitting process for renewable energy projects from inception to completion.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project sites to assess potential environmental impacts and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals in a timely manner, assessing and revising scopes of work and keeping budgets in line..
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, environmental impact assessments, and other regulatory documents.
  • Coordinate public outreach efforts with the Development Team and engage with stakeholders to address concerns and promote transparency throughout the permitting process.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and represent the company in permitting-related meetings and hearings.
  • Develop environmental study and permitting risk ranking strategies for the Company.
  • Actively participate in business growth and strategy sessions.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Preferred Fields: environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years environmental permitting, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing environmental permitting for large-scale renewable energy projects.
