Job Description:

Expand your professional career as a Robotics Technician at our client in Newnan, GA. As a Robotics Technician, you will participate in the cell design, end of arm tooling, and fixture design, along with the installation of automated equipment. This is a 1st shift, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, direct-hire opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical training certificates or associate degree, preferred
  • 1 - 8+ years of related experience and/or training, OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and establish facts
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, stand, walk, and reach with hands or arms
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with pneumatics and principles of compressed air
  • Work with hydraulics and principles of fluid mechanics
  • Work with circuits from 120 to 480 volts and other electrical related tasks to include AC and DC power and circuit boards
  • Assist in the construction of robotic equipment, collaborating closely with engineers
  • Testing robotic systems to ensure they are working properly before use
  • Layout and install all types of plumbing systems including sweat, glued, screwed, welded connections
  • Interpret isometric drawings
  • Use electrical test equipment to take voltage and current readings and conduct ohm testing
  • Install and program robotic equipment in a manufacturing facility
  • Troubleshoot issues - both electrical and mechanical - that arise with robotic equipment
  • Troubleshoot robotic systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics
  • Make repairs to robots or peripheral equipment such as replacement of defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, or servomotors
  • Perform other tasks as required
