Job Title: Field Application Scientist

Location: Boston, MA

Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite customer training for Stellaromics products
  • Assist customers in designing and conducting experiments to initiate and validate the use of Stellaromics products in their laboratories
  • Assess customer experimental needs and provide technical and applications assistance on an ongoing basis
  • Deliver technical seminars to drive awareness and education about Stellaromics products
  • Manage key accounts and external collaborations
  • Strategize and collaborate with Sales and Marketing in engaging Key Opinion Leaders for Stellaromics collaborations and event presentations
  • Develop and implement key commercial processes to ensure delivery of world class technical support to Stellaromics customers
  • Keep current on scientific and industry knowledge to provide best-in-class support and service to customer base
  • Provide key feedback to internal marketing and technical teams on user adoption, challenges, and competitive activity in the field
  • Provide timely flow of business and technical updates to and from Stellaromics
  • Accurate and timely communication of customer feedback using Stellaromics complaint tracking system
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field 3-5 years previous experience in a direct external customer support role, preferably in the Life Sciences industry
  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation, assays, and analysis software, preferably in the context of customer support and training
  • Team player who can effectively integrate internal and field-based activities across functions to support customer requirements
  • Must be a self-starter and able to learn new technology quickly
  • Effective time management skills required
  • Ability and willingness to travel 70% and a valid driving license
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly assess requirements for addressing customer needs, and a 'can-do' solution oriented approach to problems
  • Experience with RNA-FISH or immunostaining/IHC a plus.
