General Description:

Philos Hospitality, Inc. dba Hospitality House of Tulsa, and dba Lodgingly, is a Christian faith-based non-profit which provides lodging, meals, and prayer support for families of patients traveling to Tulsa for medical care. The Development Coordinator is accountable for donor development and fundraising efforts of the organization. He or she provides communications and administrative support to the executive staff to assist them in fundraising, revenue strategies, donor development and communications strategies, annual operating development plan, and performs administrative functions regarding major donor programs, planned giving programs, revenue programs, annual fund, and capital campaigns. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

30% Administrative support

70% Donor development support

Administrative Support
  • Provide support to staff and volunteers by fielding questions and gathering necessary information.
  • Attend board and committee meetings as necessary.
  • Give tours of the facility and explain the mission.
  • Handle inquiries about Philos Hospitality, Inc. by the general public.

?Donor Development Support
  • Manage and utilize the donor database to generate reports, mailing lists, and donor records to assist in fundraising efforts, such as individual asks, annual mailings, and grant writing.
  • Develop and execute monthly donor group strategies toward goal oriented outcomes.
  • Meet with donors in person for the purpose of soliciting support for the mission of the organization.
  • Provide donor messaging support in soliciting individual, corporate, organizational and foundation gifts.
  • Provide donor messaging support with donor clubs to attract, retain and upgrade gifts.
  • Assist executive staff in implementing and expanding planned giving program.
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies for special events including sponsorship asks, auction item asks, and donor management.
  • Provide administrative support for special events including data management, mailings, marketing, and other communication pieces.
  • Assist in special fundraising and friend-raising events that contribute to annual support and special programs.
  • Present mission and represent organization at community engagement and public speaking events.
  • Prepare and send thank you notes post event.
  • Create letters, presentation materials, and proposals.
  • Assist with projects executed by Fund Development Committee.
  • Participate in development of positive community relationships.

Education, Skills, and Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, Associates degree considered.
  • Exceptional and effective communication and writing skills.
  • Exceptional administrative and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and will work until the job is complete.
  • Goal driven to initiate strategies for success of the mission.
  • Demonstrated ability to see the big picture to provide strategic plans toward established goals.
  • Excellent 'people person' with the ability to build relationships among staff, clients, and donors.
  • Multi-task efficiently while managing a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with donor database management, such as Raisers Edge, eTapestry, Network for Good, etc.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in fundraising.
  • Training and background in non-profit.
  • Caring, quality customer service, time management, self-management, leadership and team skills.
  • Ability to take initiative on tasks, anticipate and set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with others in caring, honest, responsible and respectful ways.
  • Ability to keep highly-sensitive personal and financial information in confidence.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to regularly walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Need use of both hands to grasp and carry supplies and packages.

Work Schedule:
  • Full-time, on-site position within a professional office environment.
  • Work schedule is generally Monday - Friday, between hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., ability to work some flexible hours including occasional weekend and evening when fundraising events occur.
