Job Summary: American Insulated Glass is a leading glass fabricator and wholesale distributor, specializing in providing high-quality insulated, laminated, tempered, fire-rated, and beveled glass products to glazing contractors and window manufacturers. Dedicated to serving both commercial and residential end markets, AIG also distributes a full line of float glass, mirror, and decoration glass solutions.
We are seeking a hard-working, reliable, and punctual day shift fabrication supervisor for our Dallas NC, location. We prize speed and accuracy above all else, so we require a warehouse supervisor who can pay careful attention on the job, follow instructions precisely and double-check their work and the work of others before completing a task.
Key responsibilities & duties:
Maintain a safety-first work environment, utilizing proactive safety and ensuring all associates adhere to personal protective gear requirements and standard operating procedures.
Will oversee and inspire a team of 8 to 10 employees to continuously raise the bar, while taking responsibility for all day to day operational responsibilities.
Ensure production goals are met
Help coach, train, and develop employees in a manner that is consistent with company policies.
Ensure damaged product is placed in its proper area and reported to management.
Verifying employees time and time off request.
Ensuring that protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported are being placed onto glass correctly
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as needed.
Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Require Skills/ Abilities:
Must have glass fabrication experience (required)
Must have CNC experience
Must have polishing glass experience
Must have knowledge of and ability to follow all health, and safety, quality, and labor standards applying to his /her area of responsibility.
Must be driven and able to meet goals and deadlines
Must have the ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
Education & Experience:
Must have at least 2 years Supervisor or Manager experience in a Warehouse (Required)
Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, stand, sit, lift, push, and pull repetitively and/or throughout the duration of the shift.
Steel toe boots required (not company provided).
