Job Description:

Essentra has an exciting opportunity to be join our global Procurement team, as we embark on a major global procurement transformation to become an industry recognized leader in procurement and supply chain. In your role as our Procurement Business Partner, you will utilize your experience and expertise as you to delivery the procurement for the AMERS region. The role has accountability for the Procurement function in the AMERS region and delivery of performance targets.

Essentra is a global market leader in plastic injection molded, vinyl dip molded and metal components for our partners in the equipment manufacturing, automotive, industrial electronics, fabrication, medical devices, renewable energy, production machinery, construction and agriculture industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Being the primary link between the AMERS region and global Procurement
  • Accountable for overall delivery of the AMERS regional savings and project pipeline (including delivery) across direct, factored and indirect spend areas
  • Engaging and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders across the AMERS region and driving change and adoption of Procurement best practices
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders and Procurement colleagues to ensure that AMERS regional business requirements and priorities are agreed, understood and supported by Procurement
  • Optimizing value delivery (cost savings, avoidance, inflation impact ) and risk mitigation from the AMERS region supply base
  • Deliver and promote the benefits of Procurement initiatives to key stakeholders and Finance in the AMERS region to increase effectiveness and confidence in Procurement reporting
  • Being an advocate for the transformation of the global Procurement function and driving the implementation across the AMERS region
  • Provide input in AMERS regional for development and implementation of policies, strategy, category management, sourcing strategy development and execution, stakeholder management, supplier relationship management, contract management and supply risk management, collaborating closely with global and site procurement teams delivering maximum value contribution

Strategy
  • Ensure that AMERS region strategies, priorities, plans, business requirements and vision are understood and supported by Procurement and incorporated into global or regional category and sourcing strategies, to meet both operational and strategic needs
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key leaders and suppliers across the regions, aligning sourcing execution with business strategies, project management of sourcing activities to deliver the intended benefits and ensure alignment to category strategy
  • Develop and own the procurement pipeline, implementation of the pipeline, plans and strategies to meet business needs, enhance the stakeholder engagement, and challenge and motivate suppliers to optimize service outcomes
  • Participate in the planning and budgeting process across the AMERS region providing input relating to cost pressures and savings
  • Understand and utilize spend and data insights to develop and maintain a procurement pipeline, and analysis of data to identify best opportunities to save money, improve quality, and increase efficiency, while ensuring sustainable and ethical procurement

Regional Capability
  • Be the Procurement Regional Lead to the AMERS region acting as a primary point of contact to provide procurement advice to the local businesses
  • Accountable for management and delivery of procurement services in the AMERS region ensuring that the delivery of business outcomes and performance aligned to the region business plan
  • Actively promotes Procurement to the wider business to ensure leading practice is adopted, delivered and recognized
  • Create a support network with local buyers and users to ensure compliance to strategies, projects, and adoption of tools, systems and processes as required
  • Accountable for ensuring that benefits are recognized by key stakeholders and Finance in the AMER region to allow further benefit delivery
  • Provide advice and support to address complex procurement needs and issues
  • Resolve and own regional business / supplier escalations through to satisfactory completion
  • Lead and deliver specific procurement projects as required across any of the 4 category towers
  • Drive the regional make where and Make v Buy strategies aligned to the global factored goods team

Supplier Performance & Development
  • Drive the business in managing suppliers effectively and improve the performance of critical/strategic suppliers
  • Develop a regional supplier performance and development framework, identifying supplier performance and risk, and driving corrective actions and understanding alternative sourcing opportunities
  • Conduct regional and global supplier audits

Process, Tools & Methodology
  • Accountable for the change management and compliance of the AMER region to Procurement Policy and Standards including the adoption and use of preferred suppliers ensuring that action is taken to improve compliance
  • Be the lead to deliver the regional procurement transformation priorities aligned to the Centre of Excellence
  • Own and lead the development and management of key stakeholder relationships in the AMERS region
  • Be the lead to support and deliver the regional procurement transformation priorities
  • Actively & promote Procurement strategy to the wider business to ensure leading practice is adopted, delivered and recognized

Requirements
  • Dual Language English and Spanish
  • Global and regional matrix management experience
  • Procurement experience ideally within a similar role Track record of developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
  • Possesses strong business acumen, able to understand business needs and drivers and identify ways for Procurement to support
  • Ability to 'sell' Procurement
  • Demonstrates a consistent track record of delivery within large Procurement organizations
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels
  • Has a global and strategic mindset while being flexible to local differences and creative to encourage and seek innovative approaches
  • Demonstrates personal and professional credibility and resilience
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Procurement Qualification (e.g. CIPS), preferred
