AKKODIS is seeking a Process Engineer for a full-time job with a client located in Hickory, NC. Ideally looking for applicants who have proven experience in Aerospace industry .
Salary Range: $70k to $90k/Annually +Benefits.
Responsibility:
Will be leading some people so more than a couple of years' experience is needed
Hickory area is known for furniture manufacturing so they don't see local talent with this type of experience. .also willing to look at people with CNC programming.
So they are willing to train but if they get someone with some coating or aerospace experience, it usually works well.
Hickory-Process Engineers who are very hands-on typical drawing, planning but 80% of time on the floor-when equipment has an issue, process engineers help operators to determine if it's a maintenance or engineering issue (Not like typical manufacturing where maintenance handles it all).
Everything is automated with robotic arms.
Person will do qualifications of new parts.
Mechanical Engineer, Electronic Engineer, Electrical Engineer can work, Aerospace Engineer even better
Programming of robotic arms experience would be a huge plus
Travel-5-10% domestically, possible 1x a year to Italy
