Job Description:

Kick-start your career in the semiconductor, microelectronics, chemical manufacturing, and filtration industries with MGN International in this entry level Engineering Technician position in contamination control products.

Learn and work with optical laser particle counter instruments in a cleanroom environment; broaden your network and experiences in the industry; and work within a supportive, engaging, and empowering environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Learn and train to become an expert in servicing, calibrating, and troubleshooting high precision laser based metrology instruments.
  2. Collaborate with all departments to identify priorities and assist in service schedule planning.
  3. Update the status of individual units/cases on the CRM and communicate with the regional sales support engineers to keep customers informed.
  4. Assist in managing the parts and materials stock for the laboratory and warehouse to ensure continuity of service.
  5. Travel with regional sales and support engineers to support on-site service visits. Observe and learn from customer application and usage details to further develop technical competency and gain experiences.
  6. Prepare and submit case notes, service summaries, calibration certificates, meeting, trip, and expense reports.
  7. Continuing education on industry developments, product portfolio, and related technical knowledge. The goal is to be able to provide installation, operation, and maintenance training to customers.
  8. This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Job Qualifications:
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) in technical field of study.
  • Previous experience in Semiconductor / Electronics / Chemical Manufacturing / Filtration industry is highly valued.
  • Prior cleanroom experience is a plus.
  • Experience handling chemicals in laboratory setting is preferred.
  • Traits for success: self-motivated, meticulous, organized, critical thinking, ability to multi-task, and planning skills.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-conference platforms.
  • Ability to learn and perform tests and repairs on sensitive laser based equipment.
  • Able to cooperate, coordinate, and contribute in a team environment.
