Our Senior Associate Opportunity

Salary Range: $87,000 - $97,000 plus bonus

Location: 155 Federal Street, 11th Floor, Boston, MA 02110

As a Senior Associate at Floyd Advisory, you'll play a pivotal role in collaborating with leadership, managers, and peers across various client engagement teams. Your contributions will extend beyond client projects, encompassing internal initiatives and presentations. This role offers opportunities to expand technical and non-technical skill sets, gain industry insights, and foster relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Consulting Services: Provide comprehensive consulting services on client engagements, including but not limited to financial modeling, data management, documentation of workpapers, and support for communication of findings.
  • Client Engagement: Gain exposure to clients, develop client relationship skills, and effectively manage projects on client assignments.
  • Team Supervision and Development: Supervise and develop team members while ensuring project success and quality deliverables.
  • Work Product Management: Create, maintain, and review work product, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal best practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Suggest innovative approaches and solutions related to client assignments.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial and industry data, prepare workpapers, and provide supporting documentation.
  • Quality Control: Perform rigorous self-review and quality control of workpapers and supporting documentation, adhering to internal quality control policies and procedures, and maintaining high standards of excellence.
  • Client Deliverables: Assist managers/partners in developing client deliverables, providing valuable insights and expertise.
  • Communication: Provide managers/partners timely updates on project and workplan completion; assist in drafting reports and other client communications.
  • Thought Leadership: Contribute to the preparation of client proposals and thought leadership initiatives, seeking opportunities to develop personal and firm brand.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to associates and interns, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

To be considered, you'll need:
  • Experience: Two to six years of work experience in an accounting or financial role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Certifications: CPA, CFA, or seeking to obtain CPA or CFA credential. CFF, ABV, CFE, CVA, or seeking to obtain specialized credential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in GAAP and SEC reporting, ability to conduct GAAP/GAAS research, and perform financial statement analysis, including cash flows, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Analytical Skills: Experienced in an array of fundamental analytical techniques, including problem definition, data gathering, and analysis.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in creating Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Communication: Highly proactive and communicative in a hybrid working environment, with impeccable attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Our Interview Process

  • A screening interview with the Director of Operations & Talent Acquisition.
  • Rounds 1 & 2: Separate behavioral and technical assessment interviews with two members of our team.
