The Customer Support Engineer will support customers in the commissioning of Loop charging stations. This typically includes physically pre-commissioning the charging stations and using software to assist with load management, control access, internet connection, and connection to the Loop EVCN server.
Responsibilities
Support the Loop pre-commissioning process onsite in Loop's warehouses on an as-needed basis.
Support customers in the commissioning of Loop charging stations, including initial setup, load management, control access, and connection to the Loop server.
Support customers in the layout creation and connection of Loop's network access package.
Help manage Loop's data services, including activation/deactivation of SIM cards. Work with Loop's vendors to maintain proper operation of Loop networking hardware. Perform firmware upgrades either in the field or through an over the air update.
Assist in troubleshooting when network or connectivity issues arise.
As necessary, perform field related technical services to installed charging stations and/or supporting equipment.
Support testing and integration of new network hardware components.
Competencies
Working knowledge of TCP/IP and working knowledge of Linux OS
Ideal candidates will have working knowledge of terminal emulator software such as Putty and TeraTerm.
Effective communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Open to working flexible hours with predefined shift(s)
High level of professionalism, ability to utilize good judgement, and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Safety requirements necessary to perform the job safely
Ability to discern color-coded wiring for accurate electrical work.
Physical capability to withstand prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
Ability to pull wires and cables through conduits.
