Your role:

As a Luckett & Farley Project Manager, you will have a successful track record as a thought leader in the Design of either Higher Education, Civic, Hospitality, Industrial or Mixed-Use building design projects.

You will be the client's main point of contact and will be responsible for leading an inter-disciplinary team to develop design concepts and follow those through to the development of construction documents and through contract administration to deliver a finished facility.

You will be the go-to team member to help resolve issues and move projects along while identifying opportunities to find additional value for our clients. You will have overall responsibility for defining, planning, leading, and managing our studio projects with mostly internal design teams. You will ensure we are providing a clear focus on objectives, creating, and maintaining realistic project plans, collaborating with your teams, and creatively solving problems as they arise.

What You Will Do:
  • Work in close partnership with your Market Director and participate in the pricing, marketing and presentation of services to clients with the Market Director and work with them to define the project.
  • Lead a range of medium-to-large scale projects with many complexities through all phases of the design and construction process with clients and their stakeholders, design teams, consultants, contractors and vendors.
  • Provide leadership to clients and oversee a large staff of architects, engineers and technicians by creating a clear project plan, leading the design process, encouraging prompt action and clearly communicating and managing project goals and objectives, budgets, scope, deliverables and schedule.
  • Provide leadership including mentoring, professional development, and hands-on coaching to team members in support of the project.
  • Monitor and control the execution of projects in accordance with internal quality processes to deliver profitable, high quality design projects on time and within budget.
  • Manage projects using a web-based project tracking system. Complete and maintain work plans to identify project team members, track fees, labor budgets and consultant expenses, etc.
  • Provide prompt, succinct and accurate project reporting to clients, team members and other stakeholders.
  • Lead teams in the performance of contract administration services.
  • Administer project closeout and post-construction follow up.
  • Develop current client relationships and identify new business opportunities. Listen for and seek out new projects which may exist or are being formulated.
  • Prepare and manage proposals and contracts, develop and validate project scope, fee, budget, and scope of services with the support of Discipline Managers.
  • Participate in development and performance conversations related to project team members and upcoming Project Managers.

  • An accomplished designer with a thorough understanding of the design process from conception to construction closeout.
  • Experienced in successfully managing multi-discipline design teams through small, large, and complex projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while being capable of juggling multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit.

Qualifications:
  • Licensed Architect, Interior Designer, or Engineer, LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering.
  • 3+ years of related project management and design leadership experience with a proven track record in either Higher Education, Civic, Hospitality, Industrial or Mixed-Use building design.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without any restrictions or visa sponsorship.
