Job Description:

The Technical Solution Manager will work between Marketing, Operations and OE to support the Marketing tendering process where rigs require modifications, upgrades or new technology to meet customer requests or tender requirements.

Role

Key objectives:
  • Lead Tender Process in Operational Excellence (OE) department and focal point with all OE internals.
  • Work closely with Operations - Drilling Solution Manager (DSM) to successfully execute on tenders with high quality and within time.
  • Organize and standardize Tender inputs from OE.
  • Conduct technical solutions determine the scope and cost based on data from rigs in the fleet and previous projects.
  • Engage and collaborate with client and internals on the Planning Phase, Front End Engineering Design/Studies, and Engineering Phase.

Additional objectives:
  • Orchestration of tender process from OE site.
  • Scope specific feedback from attendance in Tender Kick Off meetings to be introduced to the scopes with tenders.
  • Conduct gap analysis - client and rig specific - to standardize tender inputs.
  • Attend in meetings required with internal and external to be successful in the role.
  • Customer calls
  • Tender meetings
  • Engage with DSM and follow up discussions and development of scope responses.
  • Consolidation of both SME responses and pricing/cost estimations.
  • Work with DSM to finalized OE cost estimations for scopes they reviewed.
  • Travelling to clients and internal offices when required. To be agreed with Manager.

Qualifications

Candidate Experience:
  • Graduated B. Sc. or M. Sc. in an engineering discipline or similar.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Oil & Gas Industry with experience working offshore.
  • Background in tender processes within the technical solutions.
  • Relevant maintenance and asset integrity experience.
  • Proven track record of collaborating and optimization of processes effectively in corporate organization.

Soft Skills Emphasis:
  • Proven team player, fostering collaboration and contributing positively to team dynamics.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to efficiently standardize tender inputs from the OE department.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach in generating technical solutions to enhance tender quality.
  • Strong drive for success in orchestrating the tender process directly from the OE site.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of motivation.

Motivation for Success:
  • Enthusiasm for orchestrating the tender process directly from the OE site.
  • Strong interest in participating in Tender meetings to gather specific feedback and insights.
  • Cost and optimization driven and work closely with the DSM to finalize Operational Excellence cost estimations for reviewed scopes.

Standardization Efforts with Optimization Experience:
  • Motivation to conduct comprehensive gap analyses, both client and rig specific.
  • Dedication to working towards the standardization of tender inputs for improved efficiency.
  • Proven experience in generating optimization strategies and materializing them for future work.
  • Ability to consolidate subject matter expert responses and contribute to pricing/cost estimations.

Effective Communication:
  • Ability to present technical/rig specific solutions to costumer and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills for active participation in various meetings, including customer calls and internal discussions.
  • Ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure success in the role.

Collaborative Approach:
  • Promote collaboration across departments.
  • Preferred experience in collaborating with demonstrating a proactive follow-up on discussions related to scope responses.
