Hours: First Shift - 6:00am - 2:30pm with overtime (usually 10 hour days) and possible work on Saturday with potential 5:00am start time
Job Summary & Essential Functions: Work with general supervision, plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal parts, equipment, and products by performing the following duties.
Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
Performs all deburring operations
Strip remaining maskant and silstic from finished chem mill parts
Removes burrs and sharp edges by use of various hand tools and materials such as files and edge breakers
Smoothes edges and removes build ups with air or electric equipment using abrasive disk and sleeves
Operates burring equipment using countersink, grinding wheels, burring rolls, bench grinders, rotary files, drill presses and jitterbug
Control thickness by using ultrasonic gages and micrometers calipers,, scales to work to close tolerances +/-.002
Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
Performs other duties as assigned including leading projects and participation in project committees

Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend instructions such as blue prints and shop drawings, chem. mill templates with an emphasis on chemical milling features, excess and special conditions.

Working Conditions are: 95% manufacturing environment; 5% outdoors
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and fully enclosed steel or composite toe shoes while in all manufacturing areas. Hearing protection and hard hat in certain manufacturing areas.
