Join us as an Electric Distribution Designer.
The Electric Distribution Designer will be responsible for producing electric distribution field designs, staking distribution facilities, project estimation, and creating construction prints using electronic design/estimation software. This position involves advanced design work encompassing residential, commercial, industrial, overhead, and underground electric distribution facilities.
Responsibilities:
Perform cost estimates, plan material needs, and oversee project progress from inception to completion.
Regularly interface with contractors, engineers, developers, customers, and consultants.
Research, acquire, record, and verify easement information.
Manage solutions from conceptualization through planning, construction, project completion, and financial reconciliation.
Evaluate environmental constraints and identify project requirements, such as permits, easements, aesthetics, fees, etc.
Conduct complex power system calculations, including voltage drop and equipment sizing.
Interpret survey data, plan, deed information, and engineered construction drawings.
Edit within the Global Information System (GIS) to ensure accuracy and connectivity.
Prepare easements and exhibits, including property descriptions, record survey measurements, and descriptive data using notes, drawings, sketches, and plats.
Prepare large-scale distribution designs with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
Associate's Degree in a field related to electric utility distribution power design and 3 years of directly related experience
