The Benefits Wellness Program Manager supports Kloeckner's overall wellness objectives and initiatives. Programs represent the physical, mental, and financial wellbeing of employees. One of the key features of the role is supporting the new mental wellbeing initiative which is to create an environment where employees feel safe to ask for help and know where to turn for help. The role requires expertise in administering overall wellness programs including a very strong focus on excellent customer service and a desire to advocate for good individual, team, and environmental health.
Job Responsibilities
Assists with the overall wellness strategy for all components of wellness (mental health, physical, and financial) from year to year
Strong leadership traits with the ability to lead employee associates and provide direction
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Takes initiative, is detail oriented, and highly organized
Designs the Wellness Champion role and help facilitate selection of Champions. Manages the network/community of local Wellness Champions
Plans and oversees execution of branch onsite biometric screening events
Partners with 401(k) administrator to plan and implement onsite financial awareness education
Plans and executes corporate challenges as appropriate
Works and manages initiatives with various benefit partners such as the medical, biometric, and employee assistance program partners. Also includes the 401(k) administrator and newly appointed PR firm
Drafts content for wellness initiatives throughout the year including monthly benefit newsletters and the Cutting Edge
Facilitates training of the workplace for all levels of employees
Administers all wellness program incentives including stipends and self-care days off
Evaluates utilization and effectiveness of wellness programs and recommends changes as appropriate
Assists department members on specific projects and tasks as necessary on key projects. This includes specific projects such as the fall open enrollment and any payroll-related items
Resolves wellness-related employee inquiries
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, etc
Knowledge of all pertinent Benefits related federal and state regulations (HIPAA, DOL, IRS, ERISA, Social Security)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or Counseling
5+ years of related-work experience in Human Resources, Wellness, or Employee Relations
Wellness/HR certifications preferred, but not required
Ability to drive and lead Employee Education & Wellness initiatives
