Job Summary
The Certification Expert - Aquatic Product will play a pivotal role in collaborating with the R&D and export departments to develop, improve, and promote water products tailored for the US market. This role demands a deep understanding of industry trends, competitor dynamics, and US-specific product certifications like NSF/ANSI/FDA. The expert will also provide essential technical support and training to the sales team, ensuring products align with market demands and regulatory standards. A background in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Engineering, combined with hands-on experience in the water treatment industry, is crucial for success in this position.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Determine and coordinate certification test requirements with the appropriate external agency.
Oversee the scheduling of external certification testing and review legitimacy of testing data.
Oversee the maintenance of certification test data database records.
Review technical literature to insure conformance to standards requirement.
Assist in the drafting expert testimony in response to pending issues being addressed in the manufacturing industry.
Actively participate in industry wide meetings involving rule making activities with ANSI, ASHRAE, SCAQMD, ASME, DOE, AHRI, IAPMO, NFGC, NSF, etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields is required. Master's degree will be a plus.
At least 3 years of experience in certifying drinking water products in the US market.
In-depth understanding of the water treatment industry, including relevant technological trends, regulations, and market dynamics.
Familiarity with the product certification process and requirements in the US market (such as NSF/ANSI standards etc.).
Possess excellent project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills (at a local level); able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
