About this role:

Leading a team with three communicators, the Senior Communications Manager will design a strategic communications program that focuses on advancing our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) story through executive, internal, and external communications. Additionally, this position will devise communications strategies to promote the head of DSRI through media opportunities, speaking engagements, and other thought leadership opportunities. This position can sit in Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX and is required to be in the office 3 days a week. The Wells Fargo job profile is Communications Senior Manager.

In this role, you will:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the head of Diverse Segments, Representation and Inclusion (DSRI)
  • Ensure integrated communications approach to executive communications, internal communications, and external communications
  • Develop annual communications strategies to establish the leader's voice
  • Identify executive advocacy, external speaking and/or social media opportunities
  • Write and edit key messages, talking points, and other content to inform target audiences
  • Lead and/or support communications for priority initiatives
  • Track and measure results to ensure they are in line with intended outcomes
  • Partner with communicators to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging
  • Lead and coach three geographically dispersed Lead Communications Consultants

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience developing integrated communications strategies and plans that drive DE&I priorities
  • Experience securing media opportunities with national and multicultural media outlets
  • Experience counseling executives on media interviews and speaking engagements
  • Experience designing executive thought leadership platforms
  • Experience developing talking points, news releases, and organizational announcements
  • Experience leading, high-performing geographically dispersed teams within a matrix organization
