3+ years of experience as a PM in civil engineering
Has managed several subcontractors at a time
Gives examples of being detail oriented, organized, and wants to learn
Experience reading civil plans and specs
Bachelors degree in civil engineering (ideal) or construction
PLUS:
Has worked for a BIG GC: Walsh, Jud law, OHAL, lord construction, or other big GC's
Been in heavy civil
Bridge/roadway construction experience /tollways
DAY TO DAY:
Our fast growing client is looking for a Civil project manager to join their team in Illinois as a full time employee. This person will focus on heavy civil projects and will be primarily responsible for overseeing the building of large construction projects, such as roadways, highways, and bridges. The PM is involved in the areas of pre-planning, budgeting, resource allocation, contract negotiation, and worker coordination. Civil project managers might supervise construction site personnel and subcontractors, attend weekly project progress meetings, and monitor compliance with building and safety codes and regulations.
