Barrington James has partnered with a biotechnology firm that provides gene-editing, preclinical testing, antibody development and related services for the healthcare industry.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Scientific Marketing Manager with a strong background in immunology/oncology, technical writing/content creation, design, social media marketing, event planning, and content marketing. The ideal candidate will combine scientific expertise with marketing acumen to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives aimed at promoting our products and services in the field of immunology and oncology. This position requires a creative thinker who can effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences while driving engagement and brand awareness.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns to promote our products and services in the immunology/oncology space. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.

Content Creation: Create compelling and scientifically accurate content for various marketing channels, including website, blogs, whitepapers, case studies, and social media platforms. Translate technical information into engaging and accessible content for both scientific and non-scientific audiences.

Technical Writing: Produce high-quality technical documents, such as product brochures, application notes, and scientific posters, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Design: Collaborate with graphic designers to develop visually appealing marketing materials, including infographics, presentations, and advertisements. Provide input on design elements to ensure alignment with brand identity and messaging.

Social Media Marketing: Develop and execute social media marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility, engage with followers, and drive website traffic. Monitor social media channels, analyze performance metrics, and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results.

Event Planning: Plan and coordinate participation in scientific conferences, trade shows, and other industry events. Manage all aspects of event logistics, including booth design, materials preparation, staff scheduling, and post-event follow-up.

Content Marketing: Leverage content marketing strategies to attract and engage target audiences. Develop content calendars, coordinate content creation efforts, and track performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of content marketing initiatives.

Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs through market research and analysis. Use insights to inform marketing strategies and identify opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., immunology, oncology, biology, biochemistry) required; advanced degree (MSc or PhD) preferred.

Previous experience in scientific marketing, product management, or related roles within the life sciences industry.

Strong technical writing skills with experience creating scientific content for diverse audiences.

Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and experience collaborating with graphic designers.

Demonstrated expertise in social media marketing, including experience managing corporate social media accounts.

Proven ability to plan and execute successful events, such as scientific conferences and trade shows.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
