*At least six(6) months of office clerk experience working in professional office environment performed communication one-to-one, on telephone, and in group setting.

JOB SUMMARY: To ensure that WIC participants receive positive customer service and that the program meets quality standards.
JOB DUTIES:
*Perform administrative tasks and screen program applicants for income, identity, and residency
*Direct incoming calls to the appropriate staff member
*Welcome participants in a friendly and professional manner
*Arrange certification screenings and high-risk appointments promptly
*Inform applicants about the required documentation for their screening appointment
*Educate participants on their rights and responsibilities before joining the program
*Offer voter registration to adult participants during various program interactions
*Ensure voter registration forms are completed and processed correctly
*Schedule nutrition education sessions for participants as per policy
*Notify participants verbally and in writing if they are ineligible for program benefits
*Distribute food instruments based on WIC package assigned by certifier or dietitian
*Provide instructions on redeeming food instruments, scheduling appointments, and proxy pick-up.
*Follow the policy and procedure for mailing food instruments.
*Call participants at least 2 business days before their appointment to remind them.
*Record keeping and reporting into system.
*Help with regular updates of clinic policies and procedures.
*Take part in the yearly review of the nutrition education plan.
*Refer high-risk clients to the R.D. for chart review, follow-up, or appointments.
* Attend in-service meetings.
*Follow cleaning guidelines to maintain a clean and safe clinic environment. Inform the supervisor about any safety concerns or broken equipment.
HOURS:
*Full time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
PAY:
*$17.80-$19.50 per hour, Depending On Experience, Depending On Qualifications
