Ledgent is partnering with a construction materials distribution firm located in NE Denver on a direct-hire position for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This is a well-established client where we've had multiple successful placements and received excellent feedback about the company culture!
Accounts Payable Specialist duties include:
Accurate data entry of invoices into accounting software
Ensure timely payments to avoid late fees and take advantage of early payment discounts
Pay invoices by receiving payment authorizations and scheduling/preparing disbursements
Ensures accuracy/completeness of invoices that are submitted for payment, including resolving errors and reaching out to vendors as necessary
Participates in check runs including filing
Other duties as assigned
A qualified Accounts Payable Specialist will possess:
High School diploma or equivalent
Associates degree in accounting or certification preferred
2+ years of experience in accounts payable
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
Excellent communication skills including customer service
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
