LHH is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant in the Houston TX area. Our client is a business services company and is looking to hire as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
Participate in month-end close activities
Reconciliation of bank accounts
Journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Assist in financial statement preparation
Provide schedules for financial audits
Lead/mentor staff accountants
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum of three years of relevant and progressive professional experience in Accounting
Skills:
Intermediate to advanced Excel
Understanding of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles
