Job Description:
Pride Health is hiring a
Front Office Specialist for one of its clients in
Texas.
This is a 3-month contract with a possible extension with competitive pay and benefits.
Job Title: Front Office
Location: Houston, TX, 77030
Duration: 3 months
Shift and Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm
Job Duties
- Greets patients and visitors upon arrival.
- Assists patients with check-in.
- Answers telephone within six rings and directs calls per practice protocol.
- Takes complete and error-free messages.
- Keep hold time to less than one minute.
- Transfers telephone to and from answering service per practice protocol.
- Receives less than 3 customer service complaints during the evaluation period.
- Tasks are measured by observation of the evaluator and feedback from the providers.
- Answering phones, checking patients in/out, shorting out faxes, customer service, collecting co-pays, deductibles, etc.
Education and Experience:
- Required - H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
- Required- 1 year of related experience.
- Customer Service and front desk experience. Someone with insurance knowledge would be great!
Skills:
- Knowledge of general office tasks, confidentiality, filing, medical terminology, CPT coding, and managed care referral processes.
- Also requires knowledge of related OSHA and JCAHO guidelines and requirements.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service, act professionally, type, file, use a multi-line telephone, computer, fax, copier, and calculator.
