Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00am-6:00pm
Responsibilities:
Generate, edit, and format legal documents according to firm specifications using various software applications
Convert, clean, and format documents to/from different file formats
Produce charts, graphs, tables, and spreadsheets as requested
Create and/or edit Tables of Authorities and Table of Contents
Perform data entry using various software applications
Transcribe analog or digital dictation files
Restore/recover corrupted document files as necessary
Provide telephone help desk support to troubleshoot application queries
Complete all assigned jobs accurately and promptly by the deadline
Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information
Adhere to established policies and procedures
Flexibility to work overtime as required
Ability to work through complex legal document markups and instructions accurately and efficiently
Capacity to prioritize various requests and deadlines simultaneously
Professional and respectful interaction with clients and team members
Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with 95% accuracy
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in legal word processing or document production environment preferred
Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience in legal word processing tasks, such as creating TOAs, TOCs, inserting automated cross-references, converting PDFs to Word, applying Word styles using macros, troubleshooting problem documents (including redlines and documents containing multiple numbering schemes, style separators, cross-references, and other automated fields)
Transcription experience is a plus
Knowledge of legal terminology and legal citations preferred
