Our client is seeking a Plant Manager at our Water Products Facility. This Manager will lead a team consisting of engineering, procurement, production, machining, scheduling, safety, quality, and maintenance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Confers with Director to formulate and set strategies, policies and performance targets for the facility,
  • Ensures that optimum processes, systems and resources are in place and the facility is operating efficiently.
  • Oversees quality and standard body compliance of products and application.
  • Reviews production and operating reports with team and resolves operational, manufacturing, quality, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Prepares operation schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.

  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and ensures compliance with standards.
  • Directs and coordinates programs to propose for new and/or continuing operations to maximize returns on investments and to increase productivity.
  • Works with other departments/teams within the organization such as sales, engineering, manufacturing, IT, to keep open lines of communication and to capitalize on opportunities or solve problems as they arise.
  • Works within systems to compile, store, and retrieve data for various reporting and decision-making concerns.
  • Resolves employee relations issues that may arise in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
  • Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the safety expectations of the organization.
  • Promotes and leads by example the stated company core values, mission, and company philosophies culture and philosophies. Follows policies and procedures and recommends changes where necessary.
  • Works with others in a collaborative team environment to effectively manage and execute projects, plans and strategies.
  • Leads, manages and coordinates functions and departments to achieve desired results and performance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages up to 6 subordinate managers or professionals, including Procurement, Machine/Assembly, Engineering/Maintenance, Safety/Environmental and Quality. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these manager departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A) from four-year college or university; and five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
