Office Location: Carpinteria, CA Hybrid - 3x/week

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Champion the end-to-end project management of new product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgetary constraints.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Marketing, Design, and Operations and translate workflows into detailed project plans which include timelines, due dates, responsibilities, and status.
• Develop and maintain project plans, identifying critical milestones, dependencies, and potential risks, while proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
• Drive the successful completion of the project plans by deploying project management tools and techniques to realize.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
• Conduct post-launch analyses to evaluate project performance, gathering insights to inform future improvements and optimizations.
• In person management and coordination of ordering, receipt, distribution and approval of samples, prototypes, pre-production, and first production of all items on the bill of material of new products.
• Define project milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of new products and reformulations.
• Recommend and implement efficient processes and protocols to maximize executional excellence across the product development lifecycle.
• Manage the digital tools used to plan and track the product development lifecycle.
• In person collaboration with creative team for packaging.
• Proactively identify roadblocks and work with relevant stakeholders to minimize delays.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners (labs, contract manufacturers and testing facilities, providing oversight to product commercialization process - domestically and internationally - and ongoing product and quality management.
• Follow up with labs and testing facilities to ensure timelines are adhered to and hold deliverables are received (documentation, samples, testing bulk, testing reports, line trials, etc.).
• Run internal and external meetings for project planning and status reviews holding teams accountable to deliverables and timelines.
• Prepare reports for department heads and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
• Organize samples for NPD.
• Maintain tool and carry out tasks that facilitates the work of the cross?functional NPD teams by providing organization, transparency, effective communication, and coordination.
• Develop and execute against project plans and critical deadlines set?forth by PMs.
• Project manage and troubleshoot issues through consulting with other stakeholders.
• Project manage creation request with internal graphics department for NPD and change requests, deadline management, and proofing management with our side vendors to ensure that overall project deadlines are being met.

Requirements
• Proven experience as an Associate Project Manager and experience in NPD; minimum of 2-4 years business experience preferred.
• Program Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic big picture thinker with strong business acumen and an attention to detail.
• Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
• An analytical mind able to see the implications of actions taken.
• Strong communicative and collaborative skill set with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage day-to-day activities of project teams, third party partners, and contract manufacturing partners.
• Demonstrate accountability for excellent project execution, with a bias toward action and healthy sense of urgency.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, MS Project skills, and other project management/team collaboration tools
• BS/BA in business administration or related field
• Beauty industry experience and experience working with contract manufacturers is a plus.
