GEOST seeks an enthusiastic and highly capable multi-disciplined Facility Security Officer/Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) with experience working in a classified environment to join our growing security team. The FSO/CPSO will work closely with the team on day-to-day implementation of all security and compliance measures, with an emphasis on reviewing and maintaining relevant documentation and conducting data entry. The ideal candidate will be managing all security aspects of our new Chantilly, VA location, reporting to the Director of Security.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interpret Government and internal company policies, develop, and implement security plans and procedures utilizing the 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) as well as any other specific programmatic instruction manuals, along with JFAN, DoD SAP Manuals, JSIG, ICD and customer/contract specific regulations.
  • Full understanding of program security requirements for both Collateral and SCI Programs.
  • Submit all reports to CSA to include Adverse Information, Suspicious contacts, and reports of Loss, Compromise or Suspected compromise.
  • Develops and implements improved methods of inspections, audits, and analysis of security functions to determine performance and cost effectiveness.
  • Responsible for preparation, execution, and successful completion of security assessment reviews to include Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and SCI customers.
  • Support personnel security and related programs for the U.S. Government.
  • Ability to manage a full functioning cleared facility and SCIF.
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of U.S. Government forms.
  • Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities.
  • Administer personnel security files.
  • Input data and manage DISS/NISS (previously JPAS).
  • Manage COMSEC.
  • Work with the GEOST Tucson FSO and DCSA ISR to maintain Facility Clearance.
  • Assist with badging and access.
  • Process classified visit requests.
  • Maintain accountability of associated program materials.
  • Conduct general and program specific briefings.
  • Participation in the development and delivery of routine security education programs.
  • Ensuring SCIF area requirements are met and maintain certification of physical construction documentation.
  • Responsible for completing investigations of non-compliance issues and reviews all security violations.
  • Ensure pre- & post-travel security documentation is accomplished as required.
  • Assist with initial security clearance briefings, debriefings, and security-centric education.
  • Develop, review, format, and maintain required security documents (i.e. CONOPs, SSPs, SOPs).
  • Assist the local Security Manager in administering all security procedures as they relate to classified environment operations, including personnel processing, marking and control of materials, security education, visitor control, destruction of classified materials, etc.
  • Interface professionally with company management, Government and other business customers, subcontractors, and other visitors.
  • Escort visitors as needed.
  • Participate as a valued team member on our Insider Threat Program Working Group.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Education
  • Associate degree or high school diploma with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with NISPOM, IC directives, and related security policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigation Processing (e-QIP) system/familiarity with other U.S. Government systems inclusive of DISS.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • An active US Government TS/SCI Security Clearance.
