Job Description:

Jones Contractors, Inc. is a multi-regional midstream service company headquartered in Henderson, Tennessee. The Company is seeking an Administrator for the Estimating Department reporting to the Chief Estimator. The ideal candidate will be safety focused, customer and quality oriented, with a strong work ethic and a positive CAN-DO attitude.

Job Description:

  • Monitor estimating email inbox and distribute documents received timely.
  • Set up new estimating proposal folders.
  • Maintain and add new estimates to estimate log.
  • Maintain job walk schedule and coordinate with attendee.
  • Maintain customer deliverables to ensure all documents required for proposal are ready prior to submittal.
  • Monitor and maintain customer share sites for document retrieval and submittals.
  • Read and transpose key critical RFQ items to the Chief Estimator.
  • Read and collect key milestone dates for proposals as soon as received, adding them to the estimate log immediately.
  • Read and collect any items from new and existing proposals that require Jones to request subcontractor quotes.
  • Request quotes from subcontractors/vendors as needed. Collect and organize in appropriate folders.
  • Assist with vetting subcontractors and solicitation of subcontractor pricing for proposals.
  • Assist with project-specific and general prequalification questionnaires.
  • Organize, file, and maintain estimating folders during estimating period.
  • Maintain an updated Vendor/ Sub-Contractor List and keep this information confidential within the company database.
  • Assist in the submittal of proposals to the customers and follow up with award statuses.
  • At a minimum read and understand scope of work, read blueprints, print, and organize by sections.
  • Constantly communicate with all estimating Team members.
  • Assist Estimators with follow-up calls and correspondence to vendors to collect bids and bid data.
  • Other duties as assigned within the business- related responsibilities to aid estimators with meeting bid deadlines or represent company at estimating related events.
  • Assist with estimate takeoffs.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in associated role
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Pipeline field experience preferred but not necessary.
  • Must have effective communication skills and cheerful outlook.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF fillable forms with a good basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Power Point.
  • Great diligence to plan, organize, and coordinate work of self to achieve desirable results.
  • Analytical ability to evaluate problems, interpret data, and make proper decisions.
  • Effectively manages time and schedule to meet required deadlines.
  • Must be able to shift priorities and focus between multiple projects as needed to maintain customer deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a professional and confidential environment.
