Our client, a well-established employer who has been in the Bay Area for 50+ years is seeking a professional and proactive Payroll Supervisor to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll on a weekly basis, staying up to date on changes in payroll regulations, and recommending process improvements as needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide effective leadership and training to ensure performance goals are met at employee and company levels.
Manage workflow and review weekly payroll.
Analyze payments, deductions, and taxes for accuracy within tight deadlines.
Understand the full payroll cycle including timecards to GL, implications of changes to benefit plans/deductions, and garnishments for employees and the company.
Ensure compliance related to FLSA, State, Local, and employment practices for a multi-state company.
Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, HR, Leadership, and additional teams as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of directly related work experience
Experience overseeing high-volume payroll (2500+)
Experience utilizing ADP
Strong understanding of tax and pre-tax benefits
Bachelor's degree
Construction experience is a plus!
