The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for the administration of company policies and practices, payroll, benefits, and leaves, along with providing HR administrative support.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Process payroll for all employees on a biweekly schedule
Maintain employee and payroll records to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll taxes, social security, and other government-mandated reports
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with all employment laws, regulations, payroll procedures and policies
Develop and maintain payroll procedures and documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy
Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations to manage compliance
Administer various employee-related benefit programs such as health insurance, FMLA, paid time off, employee recognitions, etc.
Generate and distribute reports as required or requested.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding efforts, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees.
Assist with creating a positive work environment by participating in various employee related activities and committees
Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies and procedures
Address employment-related inquiries from all parties, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
1+ years of experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing setting
Solid knowledge of HR principles and regulations
Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Able to communicate effectively written or orally with all levels of the organization
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
