The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful vendor management, extensive experience with a large number of part numbers, and a demonstrated ability to manage inventory amounts of $15 million or greater. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, managing relationships with key suppliers, scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring efficient inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

-Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes and achieve cost savings.

-Manage relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring favorable terms and pricing.

-Oversee the scheduling and verification of purchase deliveries to ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods.

-Monitor stock levels and inventory turnover rates to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with business goals.

-Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

-Train and mentor purchasing team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.

-Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to purchasing and inventory management.

Qualifications:

-Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager in a similar industry.

-Proven management experience, with the ability to lead and develop a team.

-Experience managing inventory amounts of $15 million or greater.

-Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

-Proficiency in using procurement software-

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
