Who We're Looking For:

As a key member of the Operations Manufacturing team, the Manufacturing Engineer defines, develops, implements, and optimizes simplistic and sophisticated manufacturing processes. Responsible for managing the automated process control and monitoring systems and adopting the automation first mindset related to process automation and infrastructure automation, as well as automated deployment of code and/or applications.

About the Role:
  • Leads automation and multiple manufacturing process control projects related to corrective action, equipment performance improvement, and new equipment. Manages projects from conception, design and initial specifications, through completion and turnover.
  • Develops detailed and accurate project schedules while collaborating with internal multi-functional teams, end users, and third-party contacts to design, develop, document, and maintain deliverables for various projects for both embedded and application software.
  • Applies state of the art techniques to develop automation solutions or improve automation processes.
  • Troubleshoots and provides solutions to sophisticated problems through modification of standard technical principles that reflect understanding of business objectives and quality implications.
  • Performs investigations relating to complex manufacturing deviations and anomalies associated with automation systems.
  • Provides guidance and develops engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans for cGMP process equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechatronic engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience. Preferably in automation manufacturing operations implementation, mechatronics design, system integration, and control systems development.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and basic knowledge of programming languages.
  • Excellent technical skills and problem-solving capability. Additionally, strong scheduling and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong decision making, planning and negotiation skills; skilled at handling multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously and excellent scheduling and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of the Medical Device and Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics and Transportation industries.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and auditing practices.
