Job Description:
Responsibilities of the Senior Procurement Manager:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop sourcing plans accordingly.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting supplier assessments, and managing supplier relationships.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and pricing.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies throughout the procurement process.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and supply chain risks to inform decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
- Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, operations, and finance, to support cross-functional collaboration and alignment.
- Provide regular reports and updates on procurement activities, performance metrics, and key milestones to senior management.
Qualifications of the Senior Procurement Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace procurement processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven track record of successfully managing procurement projects and achieving cost savings targets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus
