Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer. This opportunity is for a self-motivated individual to join our Engineering and Sciences (E&S) organization which is chartered with providing the skills and innovative technologies to develop, design, produce and sustain optimized products across the Mission Systems sector. We are seeking individuals with model-based systems engineering experience to join our team based out of Linthicum or Annapolis Junction.
What You'll get to Do:
Plan and support the core functions and ensure the project team has qualified staff to execute the program core functions.
Support close out program reviews (e.g., SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, peer reviews, Pre-test reviews, Post Test Reviews, Pre-Ship reviews, Etc.
Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements.
Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program life cycle.
Oversee configuration management of the overall Program Baseline
Serve as the Logistics and Supportability Interface ensuring that all applicable specialty engineering disciplines horizontally integrate across applicable phases of the program lifecycle.
Collect, manage, and report the program metrics and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs).
Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule.
Oversee the establishment and execution of the program lifecycle and work products.
Support the transition of the project to the operations, maintenance, and sustainment stakeholders.
Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), program manager, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline.
Align measurement objectives and activities to meet program performance goals and objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 9 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 7 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of experience.
Demonstrated Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML).
Demonstrated Experience working with CAMEO.
Demonstrated Requirements Management from Elicitation to Verification.
Demonstrated Backlog Planning and Management.
Experience in systems development, integration, and test.
Demonstrated great communication skills.
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen with Active DoD TS/SCI with poly security clearance business requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Risk and Opportunity Management experience.
Experience leading technical teams.
Demonstrated Experience with Systems Development Lifecycle, Focus on SRR to CDR.
Knowledge of Systems Engineering processing from generation of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) to Work Product Breakdown into Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for the development of complex systems of systems.
Master's degree or PhD in STEM or technical management.
Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements (UAF).
Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally.
