An exciting opportunity for a Financial Planning Analyst to join the world's premier provider of undersea warfare systems, products and solutions as a Program Analyst in their Finance Department. Required Skills:
Bachelor's in Accounting or equivalent
5+ years of experience handling transactional accounting tasks in a public or privately held organization
Previous experience working in ERP
2+ years experience with developing budgets/forecasts.
Desired Skills:
Experience in engineering and manufacturing environment preferred
Detail-oriented, focus on accuracy, self-motivated.
Good problem solver with ability to identify root cause of the problem.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. Citizens.
MBA or CPA desired but not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
Forecasts future revenue and expenditures to help determine budgets for upcoming projects.
Conducts researching and reporting on financial information, as well as monitoring financial movements within the market.
Analyzing current and past financial data.
Looking at current financial performance and identifying trends
Prepare, review and distributes monthly financial departmental reports.
Performs variance analysis on Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast Preparing reports on the above information and communicating the insights of these reports to the wider business
Assignment of expense account coding and approval of expenditures. Preparation of journal entries.
Assists with periodic internal controls audits and year-end external financial audit.
