Job Summary:
The Automation Business Analyst will be part of the Digital Enablement Office, dedicated to the Business Optimization Team and automation/optimization projects while maintaining a dotted line to the Business Relationship Team and BA Leader. This role is multifaceted and combines working with varying business customers, IT support functions (Applications, Infrastructure, Security, Services) and with external vendor/delivery teams.
The role's primary functions are:
Educate our customers on our technology capabilities for all engagements (and primarily while discussing their processes - the art of possible)
Develop business requirements for automation opportunities/solutions through collaboration and thorough analysis with core stakeholders
Requirements are supported and driven by the following responsibilities:
Conducting/leading meetings for identifying/vetting/qualifying use cases
Discussing or showing the business the art of what's possible during process discussions
Facilitating the assessment of efficiency & value in use cases
Partnering with the business stakeholders on approved opportunities
Support the BOT Technical Manager and other Digital Office transformation projects in the design and testing of solutions to address the business requirements of specific projects
Core Competencies:
Experience with and serving as a liaison between the business area/market sector and technical professionals through which business requirements for Automation use cases can be generated.
Preparing materials and leading meetings with representatives from various business units and back office functions (HR, IT, Finance, etc.) to discuss use cases, document business requirements, map the current state business processes & metrics, and develop value estimates for BOT use cases. Includes all artifacts needed to support these functions (PDDs, process maps, etc.)
Drive the assessment of specific automation & process use cases and garner agreements around process standardization and/or development of a process change implementation roadmap around the specific use case(s). Includes assessing enterprise potential and scalability of use cases and solutions for maximum value impact.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI, Client, Document Automation, Process and Task Mining (Comms mining a plus)
High-level understanding of some of the key process areas in the E&C industry (e.g. Bid, Design, Construction, Supply Chain, and back office functions such as Finance, HR, IT)
Strong understanding/experience with the UiPath Platform
Qualifications:
Relationship builder - we need someone that can gain the trust of our business partners and be a conduit for engagement. We're looking for someone beyond a transactional level.
5+ years of relevant work experience as a business analyst. Includes developing business requirements for process transformation projects across multiple business units at enterprise level
E&C industry a bonus
3+ years of experience facilitating meetings and driving collaboration/agreements with business leaders/stakeholders around process standardization and automation potential/roadmaps
5+ years of demonstrated experience in the understanding of workflow-based logic and ability to illustrate a documented process description as a workflow diagram
Excellent MS Office skills including MS Visio and other flow-charting tools.
Demonstrated experience in developing business cases and participated/led at least 5 full lifecycle automation and/or process transformation projects
Manage change, ambiguity and complexity with ease
Able to prioritize and work on multiple projects concurrently and efficiently
Strong interpersonal, presentation, written communication and facilitation skills
