Job Description:

Construction Cost Administrator

Overview: As a construction cost administrator, you will be responsible for analyzing costs associated with construction projects. You will work closely with project teams to develop, monitor project expenditures and provide recommendations to ensure that projects stay within budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing construction processes for updating project trackers and tools, presenting updates to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with superintendents, project managers and contractors to gather necessary information for cost analysis.
  • Communicate metrics and ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including senior management team.
  • Run daily, weekly, monthly reports with an ongoing cadence to support the team with cost data.
  • Identify project risks and the financial cost impacts associated and communicate to the team.
  • Monitor project expenditures and track budget variances throughout the construction process.
  • Prepare regular reports on project costs, budget status, and financial forecasts for stakeholders.
  • Prepare and/or review contract documents, AIA Contract billings, change orders, notices of award, notices to proceed, and other documents.
  • Deliver results while working on multiple projects with competing priorities on a consistent basis.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in construction, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and practices.
  • Proficiency in construction accounting software and spreadsheet applications including AIA Contract billing.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
