LHH is working with a manufacturing company in the Fort Worth area that is adding a new Staff Accountant to their team. They are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join their General Ledger Accounting Team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of financial data and contribute to the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements. You will be responsible for posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the financial reporting process.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and post accurate and complete journal entries in accordance with established accounting principles and company policies.
Perform regular account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of balances, identify discrepancies, and resolve any issues promptly.
Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements by providing accurate and well-organized financial data.
Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and financial statements are produced within specified timelines.
Collaborate with team members to analyze financial data and variances, providing insights that contribute to informed business decisions.
Maintain clear and organized documentation of accounting activities, processes, and reconciliations.
Work closely with other departments, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Finance, to resolve discrepancies and improve overall financial accuracy.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting standards.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel.
