One of the nation's premier Oil & Gas companies is looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join their ambitious procurement team!
This Senior Procurement Specialist will be responsible for bringing value to the IT, Telecom, and Professional Services categories and will support category planning, sourcing, stakeholder management, & contracts. This is a great opportunity to join a company with an amazing culture and an expanding procurement department that has ample room for future growth. This position is hybrid/ onsite with 4 days a week being required in the Houston office.
The Senior Procurement Specialist will have the following responsibilities:
Review current spend and strategize ways to improve service and reduce cost.
Confirm the tactical performance of purchasing activities to meet business needs whiling identifying and leveraging company-wide spend responsibilities.
Create implementation strategies and timelines for key initiatives and projects.
Sources suppliers and manage relationships with suppliers.
Utilize strategic sourcing expertise to create cost savings.
Be a critical thinker who drives process improvements by developing and integrating best practices across multiple functions and strategic sourcing teams.
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
Bachelor's Degree
4+ years of procurement experience
Experience with any/all the following categories: IT, Telecom, Professional Services
