Reports to Planning Manager with primary responsibilities including inventory management, project management and analysis of business opportunities. Plans to support master production schedule. Interacts with Marketing, Engineering, Product Development, Procurement, suppliers, and others to maximize labor & material utilization. Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures and manage inventory levels within budget. Anaytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem solving abilities, keen attention to deail and accuracy. Good written and oral communication skills are a must. Must demonstrate leadership and organizational skills.
Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Establishes and maintains production material inventory and purchase plan to support master schedule.
Maintains contact with the Production, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, Accounts payable and other departments.
Maintains status of all raw materials and purchased component shortages that affect or will affect the assigned production lines.
Executes purchase orders and changes to achieve optimum delivery of materials in economic lots.
Ensures availability of purchased materials necessary to support the production plan while maintaining the inventory within budgeted limits.
Coordinates the timely resolution of rejected purchased materials
Actively participate in projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
