Job Description:

Solomon Page is excited to announce our search for a Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) for an amazing mission driven organization. This is a highly collaborative role and will play a central role in developing, driving, and communicating an impactful DEI strategy. In this role, you will provide strategic action and day-to-day operational leadership on all diversity, equity, and inclusion policies, programs, and practices. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, you will also be a trusted partner to the organization for implementing initiatives that ensure optimal attraction, celebration, and retention of diverse talent and infusing DEI principles throughout the employee lifecycle. You will bring thought-leadership, perspective, and vision that champion the core DEI mission. You will provide strategic advice and counsel to the organization's senior leadership and the Board of Directors on diversity-related matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead our client's corporate DEI strategies & programs across recruitment, performance management, leadership development, employee engagement, and retention.
  • Partner with senior leaders across the company to embed a DEI culture into all teams. Act as the subject matter expert on all matters DEI and be the accountability leader for the evolution of our DEI strategy.
  • Work with senior leaders to track the progress of diversity and inclusion strategies. Provide recommendations to focus activities and strengthen key deliverables such as hiring, promotion, development, retention, and engagement.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to the organization's senior leadership and the Board of Directors on diversity-related matters.
  • Partner with Learning & Development in the planning and delivery of high-quality training programs, such as building awareness & mitigating bias. Determine the best cadence, resources, and vendors for implementation.
  • Strong collaborator and influencer, with proven success in reaching beyond immediate scope to influence and lead DEI initiatives with multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations and Talent Management in talent management, succession planning, coaching, and shaping of our culture.
  • Leads Racial Equity Work Groups and DEI Council to ensure execution and implementation of the DEI Strategy.
  • Accountable and Responsible for the success of the Employee Resource Groups (ERG's) in terms of structure, governance, and accountability that will embed diversity and inclusion capabilities in their respective environments, including accountability measures aligned to the business success.
  • Troubleshoot and identify risks that may result in missed deadlines while offering strategic solutions to best keep the team and the work moving forward.
  • Partner with Communications for developing the internal and external core messaging for DEI initiatives, programs, and overall progress.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to implement best in class hiring strategies to attract and recruit diverse talent.
  • Identify non-traditional sources for finding diverse talent and build networks with key stakeholders in these sources.
  • Partner with Total Rewards to ensure pay and job level equity across the organization.
  • Be a strong voice for underrepresented minorities. Advise on the development of internal employee resource groups/affinity groups/race-based caucuses and evolve these groups to become a strategic driver and catalyst for change at Enterprise.
  • Establish metrics and benchmarks to measure the progress of DEI goals. Continually monitor and analyze the effectiveness of programs and our overall impact on culture. Responsible for filing the annual Affirmative Action Plan for the company, and mitigating gaps and opportunities.
  • Serve as a thought leader and company representative at industry DEI conferences & events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Human Resources or similar. Master's Degree Preferred.
  • 7+ years in DEI leadership with a record of furthering business strategies and creating best practices.
  • Proven ability creating, leading, and implementing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) strategies in organizations.
  • Proven track record of promoting, developing, and facilitating successful diversity strategies and/or programs to all levels of employees throughout an organization.
  • Comfort and experience in collaborating with and influencing both front-line staff and senior leadership teams; galvanizes others into action around building more diverse, equitable and inclusive environments.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as within a team with a high level of professionalism, personal integrity, and dependability.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment in a highly collaborative manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
  • Highly effective strategic thinker with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex ideas, unique concepts, and proposals to enroll team, peers, and leadership.
  • Establishes trust and inspires others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and partnership focus. Proven ability to build relationships, trust, and rapport.
  • Influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be a creative, analytic, intuitive, logical, and visionary thinker.
  • Strong understanding of the advertising industries lack of diversity and the desire to create sustainable and realistic change.
  • Ability to manage relationships throughout the organization, coordinating time and resources according to shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience translating vision into strategy and delivering against the plan.
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to develop insights and drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Lead a team of direct reports.
