The Assistant Superintendent will have a great deal of input in the overall planning and oversight of the job. This includes scheduling of manpower, obtaining tools and materials needed, filing permits and other documents, and even advising on budget expenditures. The assistant superintendent will also provide on-site supervision of the daily work load, job site safety, receiving and storing of tools and supplies, and the reporting of all of these aspects to the project managers and Project Superintendent. Additionally the Assistant Superintendent is expected to work diligently to educate his or her self with Clayco on site Superintendent and Operations Manager to take the next step to becoming a Superintendent.

Requirements for the Role:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering or Construction Management
• 0-5 years experience in commercial/industrial construction management, on projects of 10+ million, ideally with design/build experience.
• Previous experience as a Superintendent or Foreman is a plus.
• Ability to effectively supervise construction employees and to accomplish work within budget and schedule.
• A solid understanding of the company's Safety First philosophy and practice.
• Very strong work ethic with the willingness to travel and/or relocate.
• Must be able to lift large objects that weigh at least 60 lbs.
• Ability to walk unlevel terrain and job sites several times a day, scale scaffolding and temporary stairs measuring many stories in height.
